IDEO is a global design and innovation agency.
Working at IDEO’s London office, I contributed to many projects creating user interfaces, formulating information architecture, software design, as a technical consultant, video expert and a project manager.
My extensive experience includes the development of information architecture for Prada’s staff devices and changing rooms, interaction and software design for Visteon’s car radios, interaction design for an innovative new British Gas domestic boiler and interaction design for new financial services for EGG, the on-line bank.
I was the project manager for a number of BBC Bush House interactive installations and for the electronic information wall created for the telecommunications service provider O2 in their flagship store in London’s Oxford Street.
I developed a new simple phone concept for LG to bring to their European market and managed the complex technical implementations required for a public interaction space at Vodafone’s new headquarters in Lisbon.
I worked with IKEA’s internal content and technical team to help develop a knowledge sharing intranet.
Recently, I have been working with a leading global satellite navigation manufacturer on their next generation in-car and walk-about system, as well as designing new wireless blood glucose monitors to support people living with diabetes. I have also been working on the design of a new PC suite of tools for a leading mobile handset manufacturer.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Concept design, storyboarding, information architecture and user journey design, usually at a wireframe visual level.
- Prototyping user experiences, using paper, hardware/software, Flash or scenarios, for user testing or supporting design specification.
- Detailed design or technical specifications, usually using Adobe InDesign.
- Managing company photography and video systems.
- Project management, either whole project or technical portions of larger projects.
